Latimer Designs was founded in 2020 by trained silversmith Charlotte Latimer. The first collection has been inspired by the organic forms that can be created when applying heat to wax. Creating the collection entirely through the ancient art of lost wax casting, each piece is carefully hand carved into jewellers wax and uses heat to create the ‘melted metal’ type effect desired before being cast into silver. 

 Charlotte is proud to work along side D-lab where her studio is based in Berkhamsted. D-Lab Berkhamsted is a creative co-working and maker space for small businesses and freelancers looking for a relaxed and focused desk away from home. There mission is to foster creative innovation and collaboration at a local level. 
As well as creating Charlotte also teaches ring making workshops. You can find an up-to-date list of all available workshops in the 'Events & workshops' section of the website.

'... More than anything I find the whole process of creating a piece of jewellery very meditative and therapeutic. It's a way for me to switch off and tap into the creative part of me that just allows me to let go. Often my pieces are a result of sitting down at my bench - without any initial drawn down sketches to go by - and just letting my hands guide the way. It is a very personal process and I hope my pieces give you that same sense of freedom I feel when creating it.'
